Nine Seahorses: A Plea For Sanity In Three Parts is an independent treatise on the problem of human will in personal psychological health and in interpersonal relationships - and in its capacity for corrupting global ethics via fear conditioning.

Its approach hinges on inspiration from Henry David Thoreau (nature), Leo Tolstoy (moral standards) and Eric Berne (human personality).

Everything is explained from first principles, there are plenty of stimulating illustrations and Part III is an original and creative but quasi-factual moral tale with universal appeal.

The book includes: (i) a general education in psychology and psychotherapy; (ii) an appreciation of the difficulties folks may experience not just with their psychological problems but with obtaining a matched response; (iii) an exposition on human relationships, including a scientific account of the ego states in Transactional Analysis (TA), and (iv) reflections on the human condition - and the enormous and vital potential we have for helping each other - free of ulterior motive.

Hefty on your bookshelf as well as in its message, the 344 or so black-and-white pages, including nearly 100 b/w photographs playing with the narrative throughout, are bound in a colour cover; all told, a weighty petition to head and heart at 170mm x 240mm (portrait) x 22mm.
